A multicultural church
Welcome to Alum Rock UMC

A Multicultural, Justice Seeking, Reconciling Congregation

At Alum Rock UMC all are living in unity with the Messiah (Jesus Christ). The people of Alum Rock UMC are real and outrageously committed to Koinonia (Christian fellowship with God and one another). We understand our mission to be "Making Disciples of Jesus Christ for the Transformation of the World."

News and Events

Supporting People Who Are Living With Life Struggles

Thursday, November 6, 1:00–2:30pm, Fireside Room

What do we say to someone who is suffering? Could we do more if we only knew how? Pastor Andrew Bear will moderate special sessions to help bring perspective to some of these situations in our lives. We want to reach out to the community with an invitation to attend. These seminars will recur each Thursday for the month of November and are open to the community and free of charge.

Annual Harvest Dinner

Saturday, November 8, 6:00–7:00pm, Fellowship Hall

Turkey dinner with all the trimmings! The Harvest Shop for holiday gifts! An annual event for the whole family to participate and gather for a wonderful meal and fellowship. Dinner will be served from 6:00–7:00pm. Tickets on sale after worship or call 408-258-7368. This is a United Methodist Women fundraiser for mission projects.

FHE & ARUMC Community Thanksgiving

Saturday, November 15, 3:00pm, Fellowship Hall

ARUMC is thrilled to participate with the Foundation for Housing Equity to provide a community Thanksgiving meal for local families in need. Each of the families participating will receive a free meal and help with groceries for their own family Thanksgiving meals. Everyone in the ARUMC community is invited to participate. Here's how:
1) Donate food for the meal.
2) Join us for the community dinner.
3) Make a donation of grocery gift cards or money for grocery gift cards which will be given to families in need.
4) Volunteer at the event — from set-up to clean-up and everything in between.
Contact Myra Nava to RSVP or volunteer. More information is available in our November newsletter.
